Over the Thanksgiving holiday this year we made truffle salt. It was a simple and fun process that required almost no skills, just a little time and the right ingredients. Specialty salts are a great product for the home and in preparation for the holidays made for a useful tool on our turkey. Our game plan is to use the truffle salt and butter on the Thanksgiving Turkey. More picutres to come as we use the salt on the bird.

Recipe:

1 tbsp of shaved truffle

1 cup of kosher salt

Combine measured parts to taste.

We purchased a whole truffle from a local specialty foods store and shared it at home. Our truffle was about 1/2 an ounce and it produced 4 tbsp of shaved truffle. We put these items into a food processors and blended them about table salt size.
